KOREOS HOME

KOREOS HOME Privacy

Updated October 5, 2026. Covers the KOREOS HOME apps (iOS, Android and web) and the household service.

Use without sign-in (device homes)

Choosing “Continue on this device” creates an empty home without an account. The home name, profile names, plans, tasks, shopping and stock history, household items, money, goals, attachments (images, PDF and text; up to 6 MiB per file and 20 per record) and language stay only in the app’s storage or the browser (IndexedDB); they are not sent to KOMORI. Signing in does not move them to a household account automatically, and they do not sync to other devices.

Profiles are names for sharing responsibilities on one device and have no password; anyone using the device can see its homes. Each home is stored separately. Backups are JSON files you export, including photos and files; you choose where to keep or share them. On the web, after the first load only the app’s screen files are stored in the browser so it can open offline; household records and sign-in data are not part of that cache.

Invitation-only household account

Invitation registration stores email, password hash, household name, role and session. Plans, tasks, shopping, photos and, on paid plans, household items, money and goals sync to KOMORI servers. Household admins can invite family by email.

KOREOS sign-in happens in the system browser. HOME stores the KOREOS user ID, a household name based on the display name, the HOME account link and a HOME session. KOREOS passwords are not sent to HOME. An active KOREOS user’s household receives all features without an additional charge.

Other households cannot access records. A money entry marked “Only me” is visible and editable only to its creator. We use HTTPS. Stripe handles card information in the browser, outside the KOMORI app. There is no automatic bank connection.

Photos and voice

We request photos only when you choose an image; photos attached to account requests sync with the household. Microphone and speech recognition are used only when you activate voice input. Recognition uses the operating system or browser. KOMORI does not receive voice recordings.

Images, PDFs and text files attached to tasks, events and shopping while signed in are stored on KOMORI servers and available only to authenticated members of the same household. Limits are 6 MiB per file and 20 files per record. Deleting the household also deletes its attachments.

Deletion and contact

Delete a device home in “On this device” by typing its name; uninstalling the app or clearing browser data also deletes it (you can save a backup first). Cloud records are unaffected. Delete a household account in “Household account”. If the owner deletes the household, all accounts and shared records are erased and the subscription ends immediately. A member who deletes their account also erases their private money entries. Payment records retained by Stripe follow its policies. Contact: [email protected].

Deleting a HOME household created with KOREOS does not delete the main KOREOS account.
